The Setup...
Pre-badminton on Thursday, the koala was handed to Dave ready to tease Maxine with the following night, although that's only half the story.. Actually finding a cute koala took 2 weeks and trips to 5 gift shops in Hythe, another several in Folkestone, 4 more where I work in Deal, Port Lympne Animal Park - they wouldn't give me a real koala! - and numerous websites before I found said koala through a small shop called World of Bears in Cheddar, Somerset - needless to say, through the Internet! Once it arrived I had another lunch hour on the thursday running around the aforementioned 4 gift shops in Deal trying to find an appropriate cute pink box for it to live in and oversize bow and gift tag. Once I got back to work I realised I'd forgotten the tissue paper and had to ring Alex to pick some up from Ideas in Hythe.
The 'presentation' courtesy of Dave went off well - aside from the cellotape doing it's job too well and it was all worth it to see Maxine smile :-)
